The images from the title sequence show that the film involves zombies and disease. The make up around the eyes and lips make us feel threatened and scared as it is inhumane. With the first picture being an image of people praying, it makes it look forced and claustrophobic and the grey/orange over wash makes it feel dirty and contaminated. With the cells becoming mutated makes us notice that something terrible has gone wrong and that we should be scared.
